The abducted wife of the chairman of Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU) Osun state, Mrs Olufunmilayo Abiona has been released by her kidnappers. According to her husband, Dr Seye Abiona, his wife was released on Tuesday along Ilesa-Akure Expressway.
Abiona added that two members of the gang were arrested by security operatives.
The release was also confirmed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor of UNIOSUN, Prof. Siyan Oyeweso, who said that the university community was happy because the woman was freed without being harmed by her captors.
