The 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder after eight children found stabbed to death in a house in Manoora, Queensland, Australia.

Eight children aged 18 months to 15 years were found stabbed and suffocated inside their home. Seven of the victims are the children of a 34-year-old woman, Rain Thaiday, also known as Mersane Warria, the eighth is believed to be the woman's niece.
Police are now searching for suspects in the brutal killings.
The unbreathing bodies of kids were discovered by Thaiday's 20-year-old son who immediately called the police. When they got to the house, besides dead children they also found shocked Rain Thaiday with serious neck and chest injuries.

She was taken to hospital for treatment and is currently under police guard. Without without specifying who murdered the children, police said they were examining several knives found in the home. Police officers who were first on the scene described it as "something out of a horror movie".

According to some neighbours, at the time of the murders a woman, believed to have been Ms Warria, was screaming and crying for forgiveness. It was gathered that four of the children were girls – aged 14, 12, 11 and two – and the remaining four were boys aged nine, eight, six and five. Police have informed five fathers they have lost children in the massacre.
