D'banj's Down Financially, New Report Reveals

Just when the rumor about D'banj's bankruptcy came up few weeks ago, a lot of people thought it was mere hearsay.

However, another report from Encomium Magazine has added to the recent tale of the singer's need for prayers concerning his financial challenges. Encomium made it known that it is now so bad that the Koko Master cannot even pay his staff. Some of his staffs are said to have called it quits.

The A-list artiste is said not to be financially down, but he is totally broke! Sources close to the harmonica player made it known that some of his personal staffers are grumbling over unpaid salaries while some of them have even left the team.

"D'Banj and some of his workers are at loggerheads over unpaid salaries.  Chu-Chu and Moses have already been withdrawn from his management for now.  Things are no longer at ease with the Koko master," a close source revealed.

It would be recalled that late last year, news filtered in that the millionaire artiste might be sued for a debt of over $240,000!  A technology company, MindHub Technologies headed by one Henry Ojogho claimed he is even owing the company yet another N15 million.

MindHub made it known that D'Banj, through his company, DKM Media Limited, obtained a loan of over N60 million from them in January 2013, and has not paid back the said sum despite signing an undertaking to do so.  It was also said that the technology company claimed that the 34-year-old Zaria born entertainer has issued two cheques already, one on December 20, 2013 and another on January 20, 2014, both of which had to be returned unpaid after presentation because the pop star's account was not liquid enough to offset the debt.

MindHub had threatened to drag the Koko master to court this month if he failed to clear the $240,000 he allegedly owes the technology company. It is unlikely that D'Banj has settled with his alleged creditors.

Also, the artiste equally has troubled business transactions with some prominent Nigerians, the facts of which have not been ascertained by ENCOMIUM Weekly. All these alleged stories and more are what D'Banj has remained silent on. He did not react about the news, instead the much he has said that anyone can pick so close to the issue was a recent reaction on Twitter when he tweeted,  "Silence…Hear (sic) is my response to the false rumours."

D'banj through his promoter, Ayo Shonaiya also told ENCOMIUM before the tweet he sent out weeks back, making it known that his only response to all the allegations is the video of his collaborative remix of Oritsefemi's Double Wahala.

All efforts to get the singer's side of story via SMS proved abortive. Apparently his silence is in no way helping the matter as news of him being broke keeps coming out of different corners of news media, all fueling the alleged rumors.

The multi-millionaire and entrepreneur with real names Dapo Oyebanji has scores of investments that span oil and gas, manufacturing, merchandising, among other business concerns.

He was said to have confessed he shared over N1 billion with his former partner and producer before he pulled out of Mo'Hits record in 2012.

It would be recalled that just few days ago, the singer revealed in a new interview that one of his former label mate, Dr. Sid caused the Mo'Hits split.
